Britain's £10billion pharmaceutical industry was given a welcome boost yesterday as drugs giant GlaxoSmithKline announced plans to create 1,000 jobs.

Expressing their concern over lack of proper incentives for the pharma industry, experts feel that the Union Budget proposals for 2012-13 has ignored the major demands of the pharma sector.

The ordinary shares of Taro Pharmaceutical Industries, a subsidiary of Sun Pharmaceutical Industry, will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) from March 22, 2012 under the symbol 'TARO'.
