Granules India that engages in manufacturing and supplying active pharmaceutical ingredients will expand its API and pharmaceutical formulation intermediates to meet requirements of clients and augment market share of its best sellers.

Granules supplies APIs or substances used in manufacturing a drug that makes the medicine effective or active to Big Pharma companies and other generic companies across the world. They also export other pharmacologically inactive substances that are mixed with Apis in making a drug. These are known as PFIs in common parlance.

"Meeting our clients' requirements is our primary goal and our expansion will help us in achieving that objective. We are not looking at servicing new customers because we already supply to about 300 customers globally," said C Krishna Prasad, Managing Director, Granules India.
