The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) has announced the establishment of a new body to provide advice on science and strategy.
Nominations are currently being invited and the society is hoping experienced researchers and scientists will become involved. Anyone seeking to nominate or self-nominate must do so by April 15th and RPSGB membership is not required. RPSGB chief scientific advisor Jayne Lawrence said: "The panel of leading scientists and researchers will help build a broad community speaking with a strong, united voice." The new panel will consist of around 15 experts from a range of fields including community pharmacy, social science and pharmaceutical science. The RPSGB hopes to attract specialists with British and international experience. This new initiative comes as the Chemist and Druggist website reports that pharmacists have expressed concerns to the RPSGB and other organisations about Department of Health demands to complete baseline assessments by the end of this month.
